Relaxing May Be the Best Exercise
I totally agree with the article. I used to think that getting up in the morning and exercising would sap my energy for the day. Wow, I was very wrong. Starting the day out with an aerobic type workout gets my blood pumping and my brain is clearer. It must be the morning dew that I feel at Dawn and how the quiet and serenity just relaxes me.
As the dawn transitions to daylight and the sky changes from pitch black to reddish, yellowish hue the energy just seems to increase. I have recently enjoyed the treadmill and stationary bike for my morning pick-me-up. I don’t have to deal with the stray dogs or the missed steps from the sidewalk curbs at that time of the morning.
There was a time when I did live close to a park and running track. It was refreshing to inhale fresh air before the traffic brought its pollutants and clogged the air with its poisons and gases. Having a track close by is great, but for me not having a track close by makes the morning routine more of a chore than a tranquil time to relax and get my motor pumping.
I have never given though to meditating in the morning. I might fall back to sleep! I have always done my quiet time at night to reflect on the day and close it out.
Well, I do enjoy starting the morning off with a good workout. It seems to keep me more relaxed and in control as I deal with the daily complications of life and job.
